Zhik has announced it’s the official apparel partner of the 2024 Moth World Championships, currently taking place in New Zealand (until 7 January 2025).

“The Moth World Championships represent the pinnacle of innovation and skill in sailing, making this partnership a natural fit for Zhik,” says Johnny Rodgers, Zhik’s head of marketing and global sponsorship manager. “We’re excited to support these incredible athletes as they push the boundaries of speed and performance on the water.”

Zhik says its sponsorship of the Moth Worlds underscores its commitment to developing cutting-edge apparel for sailors at every level.

The International Moth class is renowned for its speed, precision, and demand for technical mastery. With foiling boats that often exceed 30 knots, competitors are expected to perform under intense conditions.

Among the competitors is Hattie Rogers, a Zhik ambassador and rising star in the sailing world. Having achieved significant accolades in both the Moth and WASZP classes, Rogers brings exceptional skill and determination to the event. She says that Zhik’s gear is the best she’s ever worn. “Whether it’s staying dry in challenging conditions or having lightweight apparel that moves with me, Zhik helps me focus entirely on my performance. I’m thrilled to compete with their support at this year’s worlds.”

Last year, Zhik announced it will continue as the official technical partner of the United States SailGP team. Meanwhile, another Zhik ambassador is Yoann Richomme, currently second in the gruelling Vendée Globe.
