Vetus has appointed Nicolas Desbordes as the new engine sales manager for France. Having officially commenced his new role on the 1 May, Desbordes is primarily responsible for overseeing the sales of both diesel and electric propulsion systems, with a focus on after-market services.

Having accumulated 18 years of extensive experience in the marine industry, Desbordes joins Vetus from Navico Group, where he served as a key account manager in the sales department for six years. During this time, he specialised in the distribution of marine electronics and electrical products.

The appointment follows recent expansion of the Vetus sales teams in the US markets, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Commenting on his new role, Desbordes says: “I am very excited about my new role as engine sales manager at Vetus, with my extensive background in the marine industry I will take on the company’s sales efforts in this key market, working closely with the French team to further enhance Vetus and Maxwell’s market share and presence.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Nicholas to his new position, as the Vetus brand expands in both the OEM and aftermarket sectors, supporting our customers has never been more crucial,” comments Thijs Boegheim, sales director EMEA. “With Nicholas’ wide-ranging professional background and industry experience, he is well-equipped to deliver high quality aftercare services that our customers need. Nicholas will make a valued edition to the French team, and we look forward to seeing him drive business growth in this region.”
