Technical Marine Supplies has announced its 2025 training workshops, which will start in March and will be held at the RNLI college in Poole, UK (pictured).
TMS has run a series of successful workshops in the past in a bid to foster knowledge sharing in the industry and provide hands-on experiences for attendees.
Nick Cook, senior sales manager at TMS, explains: “The positive reception of our past training workshops offers our clients the opportunity to liaise directly with our customers, allowing for direct market feedback in return for practical, hands-on learning and meaningful product knowledge.
The feedback we’ve received suggests that this practical and collaborative approach resonates deeply with professionals across the industry.”

Offering an insight into what attendees can expect at a workshop, Cook details what the rigging session will have in store: “The Rigging Training Workshop has evolved to align with what our customers feedback suggests is needed. This workshop will see our friends from Karver joining us, to give us an overview on the range of products which featured heavily in the recent Vendee Globe, along with a thorough introduction into the new range of KRS reefing furlers launched in 2024. Marlow Ropes will be talking through the advantages using heat set braided ropes when splicing, Cyclops Marine will run present how their load cells can log data, thus allowing greater insight into the life of standing rigging, and hamma marine will of course be on hand offering a hands on overview of the current product range.
Cook adds: “These workshops have led to some fantastic collaborations. For example, during one of our previous events, we hosted a local yacht refit company that is now involved with deck hardware upgrade, fitting the exact portfolio of products which we presented.
“For TMS, these connections are invaluable as they reinforce our role as a trusted and invaluable bridge between manufacturers and industry professionals.

The TMS workshops will be held at the RNLI College in Poole, allowing TMS to not only utilise a fantastic venue but also to help support a fantastic charity, and introduce a unique element to its training workshop venue.
“The RNLI College is the perfect venue for these workshops—combining a state-of-the-art facility with a rich maritime heritage, it aligns seamlessly with our mission to support the marine industry,” says Cook.
