By participating in the Charity Sailing Regatta on board Sunsail 41.0 yachts, you and your team can enjoy two days racing the Solent while raising funds for Tall Ships Youth Trust (TSYT).

The Charity Regatta is a jam-packed weekend of competitive sailing around the Solent, with relaxed social events. Every penny raised goes towards supporting TSYT’s vital youth development work, helping young people who are experiencing disadvantage, to change their lives at sea.

Teams of up to eight people (including your own Skipper and Mate, although Skippers and Mates can be hired at an additional cost) will set off from Port Solent and enjoy four matched-fleet races over two days. The event includes a celebratory fundraising dinner with live music at Cowes Yacht Haven on Saturday evening, culminating in a prize-giving reception in Port Solent on Sunday.

Non-sailing guests can also enjoy the Saturday evening dinner at Cowes Yacht Haven, tickets can be purchased separately for this event.

They welcome anyone over the age of 14 and all levels of experience, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them for the duration of the weekend. The price of the weekend based on teams of eight is £2,400 per boat (£300 per person) and they ask all teams taking part to commit to fundraising as part of the challenge.

Hannah Langley, TSYT Individual Giving and Membership Lead, said: “We are so excited to relaunch our popular racing event this year, and every penny raised from the weekend helps more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to sailing with a TSYT transformational voyage.”
