Southern Spars appoints head of sales
Southern Spars, New Zealand-based designer and manufacturer of high-performance composite yacht spars, has appointed Rudy Jurg as head of sales for the DynaRig and AeroRig sailing systems.
Jurg will be responsible for driving revenue and shaping commercial growth for both products.
His arrival at Southern Spars comes at a crucial time for the company. With sailing yachts becoming ever larger and potential superyacht and commercial ship owners growing more environmentally aware, there is a growing demand for simplified sailing systems such as DynaRig and AeroRig.
Jurg brings extensive sales experience and technical knowledge from his experience working in advanced composite and marine markets for the past 20 years.

In August 2023, Southern Spars appointed Nick Bice as its sales director for grand prix and performance yachts.
