Michelle Hildyard as vice president of operations. at Raymarine

Raymarine and FLIR Maritime – who make high-performance marine electronics and thermal cameras for the recreational boating, marine first responder and law enforcement markets – have announced the appointment of Michelle Hildyard as vice president of operations.

Hildyard has 19 years of experience in the marine industry, all within Raymarine and FLIR, which sits with Teledyne Technologies. She has held various positions in the organisation during her career, including supply chain manager, commercial director, vice president of customer service, and most recently, vice president of product management and business development.

In her new role, Hildyard will oversee supply chain, engineering, product management and operational functions, focusing on improving the company’s response to market demands and on customer support.

“Michelle’s promotion is a testament to her outstanding leadership and deep understanding of our business,” says Gregoire Outters, general manager of Raymarine and FLIR Maritime. “Her broad operational expertise and proven track record make her the ideal candidate to lead our operations forward. Under Michelle’s guidance, we are confident that Raymarine and FLIR Maritime will continue to innovate and excel in serving our customers.”

Raymarine says the appointment aligns with its focus on internal talent development. Earlier this year Raymarine and FLIR announced new team members, including Gordon Sprouse as director of marketing for the Americas and Rachel Appel as events coordinator. In addition, Jim Hands assumed the role of technical marketing director to manage global product-marketing, website and digital strategy development.
