The 2024 Monaco Yacht Show will feature the return of the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, where visitors can explore an exhibition area dedicated to design and innovative solutions in superyachts.

The area, launched in 2021, brings together some of the world’s most celebrated yacht designers and innovators to share their expertise. In 2022, organisers extended the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub to integrate the exhibitors of the Designer Gallery under one single exhibition located at Virage Louis Chiron.

From September 25 to 28 in Monaco, 16 acclaimed designers will unveil their most imaginative and innovative yacht projects, each addressing the theme of minimising the environmental impact of superyachts.

This reflects the increasing attention on the superyacht industry for its damaging impacts and the keenness of its biggest players to be seen to be addressing them.

This year, the designers participating are Argo Navis, Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, Cor D. Rover Design, De Basto Design, Espen Oeino International, Frers Design, Hoek Design, Hydro Tec, Lateral Naval Architects, Mulder Design, Philippe Briand, Studio Merki Jr, Studio Pastrovich, Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Victory Design, and Werner Yacht Design.

Visitors can view cutting-edge engineering and novel, energy-efficient technologies designed to enhance environmental responsibility without sacrificing luxury.

Organisers say the exhibition not only highlights the latest in yacht design but also invites visitors to witness how these remarkable vessels push the boundaries of what’s possible.

For the second consecutive year, Van Berge Henegouwen (VBH) is presenting the MYS immersive experience at the hub. Attendees will have the chance to explore a 3D environment featuring some of the most innovative yacht designs on high-definition LED screens. Visitors can navigate through different rooms, interact with each space, and gain insights into the future of yacht design.

The Monaco Yacht Show will also feature a series of roundtable discussions focused on sustainability and design, co-hosted by SuperYacht Times. Organisers say attendees will hear directly from the designers at the hub as they address key issues and explore how the yachting industry is working to reduce its carbon footprint while balancing client expectations and societal responsibilities.
