Medasia Marine says it has successfully delivered and registered the UAE’s first 100 per cent electric X Shore 1 boat, it’s gone to a customer in Dubai.

This milestone marks a significant advancement in the UAE’s journey towards sustainability and modern marine technology.

At its core, the X Shore 1, developed by Swedish electric boat pioneer X Shore, represents a shift in the maritime industry. As well as having an electric motor, the vessel is constructed with sustainable materials.

X Shore, which partnered with Bosch Engineering in 2023 to improve the performance and efficiency of its electric drive system, has garnered multiple awards and operates one of the most advanced high-tech factories in Sweden.

The X Shore 1 boasts a range of up to 50 nautical miles and can reach speeds of up to 30 knots.

Its arrival in Dubai reflects the growing global trend toward electric and sustainable marine solutions, with the UAE positioning itself as a regional leader in this innovative space.

Medasia Marine, which is headquartered in in Abu Dhabi and has branches in Malta and the UK, provides services to high-net-worth clients and industry partners, including design and construction, refit projects, class-approved surveys, and yacht chartering. It has plans to expand its dealership network to Jeddah, Oman, and other locations.
