man and woman (Amanda from Docherty Marine) shake hands on boat while discussing Dockmate

Amanda Sallaway, office manager at Docherty Marine, the official distributor for Dockmate for New Zealand and Australia, explains the joy of Dockmate for coming into crowded marinas. The remote-control docking system has grown in popularity across Australia and New Zealand not only because of its functionality, but also because there’s a robust network of dealers and installers in place.

She talks through the benefits of the wireless remote control system designed to reduce the stress of docking boats, explaining that the system allows boat owners to control engines from anywhere on the boat, enhancing safety and convenience.

Sallaway says Dockmate is especially beneficial for solo boaters or small crews, and the system can be retrofitted.

Recently, Dockmate announced it’s partnering with Maritimo Americas to offer advanced wireless remote control docking systems as an option on all Maritimo models and that it fully supports all Sleipner thruster systems and configurations.
