Infynito 80

Italian boatbuilder Ferretti Group has launched the first Ferretti Yachts Infynito 80 unit at its new Ravenna production site in northern Italy. The yacht will make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 (10-15 September).

The Ravenna facility, acquired in March 2023, will be fully operational in 2025. It is now home to five production lines for the Ferretti Yachts and Wally brands, with a 200-strong daily workforce. The production site measures over 70,000 square metres, including a dry dock.

To date, two yachts have been launched at the site: Infynito 80 and Infynito 90 M/Y Love. A Ferretti Group representative tells MIN: “Currently, five planned production lines are already operational [at Ravenna]. A sixth will be added next year.”

The Infynito 80, announced earlier this year, joins the Infynito 90 and offers many of the range’s signature features, including flexible layouts and the all-season terrace.

Other features include an open or semi-open sundeck and generous outdoor surface areas covered and protected by the hard top or superstructure.

The Infynito 80 has an overall length of 23.7 metres and a maximum beam of 6.32 metres.

It is the result of collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. The exterior design was by architect Filippo Salvetti, and the interiors were by Ideaitalia.

The Infynito 80 also features a fast-displacement hull optimised to improve fuel efficiency and a focus on the use of materials such as natural fabrics, regenerated leather, recyclable materials, ecological water-based paints and lamellar teak with FSC 5 certification.

An integrated system stores the solar energy collected by the photovoltaic panels installed on the hardtop and on the terrace’s roof in an energy bank.

The interior design mood chosen for this unit is ‘contemporary’, inspired by the fresh colour tones of the sea.

The upper deck on Infynito90 is replaced on this unit by a completely open sundeck, with a hard-top providing shade for the entire dining area and helm station. The stern area on the upper deck, reserved for sunbathing, is furnished with freestanding sun loungers.

The main deck layout features a main salon with twin face-to-face sofas and a TV that swings down from the ceiling. The galley occupies the forward section of the deck, with a recessed electric window that looks onto the sheltered terrace.

The lower deck has four en-suite guest cabins, sleeping eight. The crew area amidships, which can be entered privately from the walkway on the port side, contains two separate cabins, sleeping three.

The first unit is fitted with optional twin MAN V12 – 1400 mHP engines and can reach a top speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots. The standard version with MAN V12 – 1200 mHP engines has a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

The yacht has a range of 1200 nm at economy cruising speed (10 knots).
