Primus Marine has been appointed as the exclusive dealer for Beneteau Powerboats and Sailboats, as well as Excess Catamarans, in Thailand. The new partnership aims to expand the presence of both brands in the Asia-Pacific region.

Primus Marine will represent Beneteau’s full range of powerboats and sailboats. “I’m excited to announce our new partnership with Primus Marine in Thailand,” says Erwan Her, Beneteau Asia-Pacific sales director.

“The company will bring strong sales and after-sales support. With strategically located offices across the country, Primus Marine is the perfect partner to represent Beneteau. This collaboration will not only enhance our presence in Thailand but also improve customer service and engagement.

“Together, we will work to build a vibrant Beneteau boating community in Thailand and I am confident that this partnership will lead to exciting new ventures and a stronger brand presence in the region.”

Howard Prime, CEO and co-founder of Primus Marine, adds, “It is tremendously exciting to be partnering with Beneteau for sales and after-sales across Thailand. Having been resident in Thailand for over five years, whilst working in the industry, I have already personally delivered many new Beneteaus to their owners from a fleet of First dinghies and keel boats right up to the flagship Grand Trawler 62.

“Thailand is a top global location for the Beneteau brand to continue to flourish with some of the best cruising grounds in the world. Also, with a competitive racing scene encompassing regattas such as the King’s Cup annually, there is an event for every type of yacht owner. The team are now looking forward to growing the Beneteau customer base and to delivering excellent customer services via our offices in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket.”

Beneteau’s appointment of Primus Marine follows other recent additions to its Asia-Pacific network. Earlier in the year, the brand appointed Asiamarine (Sailboats) and NextWave Yachting (Powerboats) as partners in Hong Kong, and Amal Yachting as the official dealer in Taiwan for both sailboats and powerboats.

Primus Marine will also represent the full range of Excess Catamarans in Thailand.

“I am pleased to announce the exclusive appointment of Primus Marine as the representative for Excess in Thailand,” says Cosmas Grelon, Excess & Lagoon Catamarans Asia-Pacific sales manager. “This partnership taps into the potential of the Excess Catamaran in South East Asia, and I believe Primus Marine will excel in this role. Despite being a newly established dealership, their team, led by Howard, brings a wealth of experience and is highly motivated to deliver an exceptional customer journey. I am confident that Primus Marine will represent Excess at its best in Thailand.”

Prime adds: “With a dynamic look, remarkable colours and sophisticated lines on a catamaran that’s a joy to sail. This is what new sailors are searching for. Excess is built for them.

“We have some exciting new stock boats arriving in the Kingdom including an Excess 11 in January. We look forward to meeting many of our future customers during 2025 and introducing them to the brand.”

NextWave Yachting in Hong Kong and Primus Marine in Thailand are now part of the Excess International Network.
