The second edition of World Boating Day is officially set for Saturday, 24 May 2025.

The Superyacht Life Foundation is coordinating the new initiative, which celebrated its inaugural edition from 25 to 26 May 2024 with 46 events in nine countries.

The foundation says World Boating Day is a non-profit campaign comprising many local open days across the globe, aiming to foster a greater understanding of the leisure boating industry and help attract more talent to safeguard its future.

Superyacht Life Foundation says, despite the official celebrations now taking place on one day instead of two, all activities organised during the week of 19 May 2025 will be included under the World Boating Day umbrella.

A report summarising the outcomes of the 2024 edition reveals that Australia, Italy, and Turkey had the most events.

The 37 firms that took part globally comprised 53 per cent superyacht companies and 46 per cent leisure boating companies. The digital reach for the overall campaign was estimated at 14m.
