Cannes Vieux Port

The Cannes Yachting Festival opens its gates today with 700 vessels on display by more than 640 exhibitors.

The 2024 edition runs for six days with a showcase of monohull, multihull, sailing, motor, rigid and semi-rigid hull, new and previously-owned yachts ranging from five to 45-metres.

More than 120 yachts will be launched at the boat show this year.

“Today, Europe’s biggest in-water boat show is opening its doors… This year, we are pleased to be accommodating 700 boats in both ports with areas that have been reorganised so that the way around the boat show is clearer and even more enjoyable for visitors,” says festival director, Sylvie Ernoult.

This year, there will be 355 new 12 to 45-metre motor boats in water with rigid, semi-rigid, mono- or multihulls plus all the equipment manufacturers and service companies related to this industry on one side, and the sailing world on the other side in Port Canto, with 120 new monohull and multihull boats averaging 16 metres long, the brokerage sector, with around 45 previously owned boats from 25 metres in water, and the water toys/toys area. This year, Port Canto is also home to the brand-new Power Boat Marina with 175 boats up to 13 metres.

According to the organisers, Port Canto – with its new Power Boat Marina – will almost equal the Vieux Port in terms of the number of boats on display. For the first time, visitors will be able to go all the way round Port Canto, in a 2.5km loop. The new area dedicated to power boats will cover around 2,000m² and provide more than 300m of linear quayside to present 175 motor boats (135 in water and 40 ashore), with rigid or semi-rigid hulls. A selection of outboard engines suitable for these boat sizes will also be presented next to the boats.

New for 2024, Cannes is launching an Innovation Route aimed at raising awareness among environmentally conscious attendees. Around 40 exhibitors will present eco-efficient solutions designed to mitigate the marine industry’s environmental impact on oceans and ecosystems. The Innovation Route will be featured at both festival ports, marked with special signage to guide visitors.
