Azimut expands in Greece
Italian boat manufacturing firm Azimut has partnered with new company AZ Yachting Hellas SA, underscoring its targeted approach to growth in Greece.
The partnership brings together seasoned maritime industry veterans Marios Iordanou and Christos Ramnialis, who will lead Azimut’s renewed effort in the Greek market. Iordanou, with over 15 years of experience as an Azimut dealer in Cyprus and Lebanon, and Ramnialis, who has held various positions at Benetti, lead the new venture.
Headquartered in Athens, AZ Yachting Hellas SA will offer comprehensive services ranging from sales to management and after-sales support to the evolving needs of yacht owners.
Enrico Chiaussa, the company’s chief commercial officer for the EMEA and APAC regions, emphasises this strategic move, highlighting Greece as one of the predominant markets for Mediterranean yachting.
The collaboration aims to build on the groundwork laid by the previous dealer, First Quality Yachts. Chiaussa explains: “Through our collaboration with AZ Yachting Hellas, we aim to continue the path taken with First Quality Yachts, to whom we extend our gratitude, and further strengthen our presence in the area, increasing our penetration among Greek yacht owners thanks to Iordanou’s solid experience in client management and Ramnialis’ in-depth knowledge of the Greek and international markets.”
This new partnership with AZ Yachting Hellas aims to ‘position Azimut as a leader not only in production but also in the quality of service offered to each individual owner’.
