Aquila expands in Mexico with new dealership
Aquila Power Catamarans has appointed Powerboats as its newest official dealer, expanding its presence along Mexico’s Pacific coast.
“We are very excited to represent Aquila Boats in Mexico,” says Alberto López, director general at Powerboats. “We at Powerboats believe power catamarans have a long future in Mexico and we believe Aquila Power Catamarans to be the perfect partner.”
Raul Bermudez, vice president for MarineMax, adds: “Partnering with Powerboats marks an important step for our expansion in Mexico, especially along the Pacific coast. With the increasing interest in power catamarans throughout the region, we’re focused on building a strong dealer network to support this growing market.”
Nick Harvey, chief revenue officer for Aquila, says: “Mexican boaters have a long tradition of going to sea for multiple activities, from fishing to day outings and extended coastal cruising. “Our complete range of power catamarans … aligns with the diverse ways Mexican boaters enjoy their time on the water, delivering the perfect power catamaran for every boating adventure.”
Powerboats will provide sales and support, catering to customers interested in fishing off La Paz or cruising the coastline.
Aquila Power Catamarans are built by China’s Sino Eagle Yachts, which specialises in composite manufacturing. The brand’s facility produces models ranging from 28 feet to 70 feet, with ongoing model development.
